Aloha! I hope you’re having a fabulous start to your week.  I don’t know about you, but this year I wanted to get as fit and as healthy as I could be.  I started this journey back in December running and doing workouts at home.  This month I embarked on this journey doing a 28-day fitness overhaul; a big deal.  I was always curious about intermittent fasting, prolonged fasting and a ketogenic diet. I was doing it on my own and I was piecemealing a lot of different pieces of information that I would read about on the internet or that I would hear about from other people.

I kept attempting to adopt this lifestyle and then I kept failing.  I’m really excited because I finally decided to take the plunge. I hired a coach and she is phenomenal!  In the first week of just adopting this intermittent fasting with a little bit of prolonged fasting and some clean ketogenic, non-inflammatory choices in my food choices and exercise, I actually feel very energetic. I’m getting the coaching and support to do it the right way and I’m excited about that. I’m down about three pounds this week and an inch and a half now.  Actually, that inch and a half was measured just in the period of five days. 

So that just goes to show you how you can try things yourself and take bits and pieces of information that you see out there from various sources and piecemeal things together. Maybe you’ll make some progress.  It’ll just take a lot longer to do it. I’m really grateful that I followed my own advice and hired a coach.  I’m excited about the results that I’ve achieved in a really short amount of time. And I’m going to keep you posted on this journey week to week. We’re doing this for 28 days and this is really the first week down with a few more to go! 

So with you and your goals, maybe you don’t have the same fitness goals as me and that’s okay, but whatever those goals are, who do you have in your success posse? 

That’s so important.  Accountability, coaching;  having those pieces in place. This is my progress and it’s only been a week and that’s from hiring a coach and really getting myself out of my own way and just understanding that there’s a better way and easier way.

There’s a better way of doing things and sometimes we can get so locked in, in doing the same things over and over again.  Doing what we think we know and that’s gonna keep us stuck. It’s going to keep us creating the same results. And I’ve experienced that in the fitness and wellness journey.  

I also just hired a bookkeeper. I’ve had an accountant for a couple of years and that really helped me get clear on my vision and what I was doing. And today I thought what I need for me to up level is to bite the bullet and get an alignment and hire a bookkeeper. So I did.   It feels like the weight of the world has been lifted off my shoulders. Yes, it’s an investment, but it’s going to pay itself in dividends far beyond what I’m paying in monthly fees.

So if you want to short cut it, whatever your goals are, get a support system around you. Get that support posse, that coach, the accountability partner, your mentorship group, your mastermind group, your community so that you can stop dragging your feet and you can get there a lot faster.
