A couple of days ago I talked about thinking, and how we can think more clearly and take inspired action that is in alignment with our goals.

We can get so caught up in being busy. And when we’re so busy, we’re not thinking, we’re not doing things that are necessarily in alignment with our goals. We’re just doing things to keep our mind occupied. It’s mental activity.

So here’s what I like to do:

I like to close my eyes for just a minute or two and think about my end result.

Think about your goal …. take a moment and imagine your goal has been fulfilled. You are standing in your truth, you’re standing in your power, you have your goal. Just think about it, bring it to your mind’s eye and feel what that feels like.

Now, naturally your mind is going to wander, and you might even have some ideas brewing as to what action steps you could take next; those ideas are what I call an inspired action.

So, let’s say you’re thinking of your goal, imagining it, getting emotionally connected to it. When you have that download of inspiration, that’s your intuition kicking in. That’s a sign that you need to take some sort of action. Maybe it’s to call someone, maybe it’s to take one step, maybe it’s to research something so that you can move forward on that project. When you get those ideas, take the action!

I want you to do that multiple times a day. Meditate, imagine your goal and then take inspired action. Make sure that the action steps you’re taking are not just things to keep you ‘busy’. Make sure they’re in alignment with your higher purpose and your goal.

Now you have to learn how to create order in the mind. That is crucial if you want to stay focused. Here’s an example: Last night, I went to bed and I meditated before my head hit the pillow. As I thought about my day today, I immediately wrote down any inspired actions that came to my mind, and then I went to sleep.

I made the decision that I was going to get up at 5:00 AM and that I was not going to pick up my cell phone first thing in the morning.

I went to sleep with an inspired action in mind. I woke up at 5:00 and I took care of me first before I dove into social media. I meditated; I thought about my day – who did I want to become today? What did I want to accomplish? I even journaled about my most perfect day and what that would look like. All of the things I planned to do, and what outcome I expected and how I expected to feel. It was very intentional, very inspired.

But I took care of me first; I meditated, I did my gratitude, I journaled, I enjoyed my coffee in solitude, I went to the gym, and had a wonderful breakfast, and showered and then I was ready for my day.

So, I challenge you to do the same. Whenever you’re planning your day, plan it the night before and then take inspired action. Get rid of the technology and the cell phones in that quiet, private time, so you can get clarity, and focus and move forward.

I’d love to hear how it works for you. It’s not easy to instill new habits, but persistence and repetition is the key.

So, let’s support each other in doing that and you make this week the most fabulous week ever, and you make today even more fantastic.
